MAU is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager at our client in Morristown, TN. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will provide leadership for quality assurance and quality control functions, lead the team, and ensure the Customer Specific Requirements are met, which includes the authority to stop production if CSRs are not met. This is a direct-hire opportunity. Benefits Package Competitive pay 401k matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Shift Information 1st shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 5+ years of related direct supervisory experience Knowledge and experience in quality systems and standards, blueprints and tolerance standards, metrology, and materials science General Requirements Leadership skills with ability to motivate large groups Positive attitude, highly motivated, and high energy level Good interpersonal skills and ability to promote a team environment Solid problem solving skills using a variety of statistical and root cause tools Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to handle stressful situations Excellent organizational skills that promote efficiency and leadership Budget preparation and control experience Ability to correct negative behavior fairly and consistently Flexibility with working hours, overtime and travel required Preferred Requirements High-volume manufacturing experience with machining, assembly, or die casting Tier-1 automotive industry experience Essential Functions Lead and monitor primary functions of quality assurance and quality control functions including acting as management representative for customer and quality system requirements, facilitating product validation, receiving inspection, calibration and conformance test systems, and supporting daily priorities Develop strategy to satisfy customers, shareholders, and team members Participate as key member of the leadership team helping to set direction for organization and support continual improvement Observe departmental performance, analyze cause and effect, and take appropriate action Develop and be accountable to operating plan and financial commitments Communicate operating plan targets, action plans, and status on a regular basis to all members Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance through Kaizen and leading positive change Support staff, specialists, and team members by providing training, instruction, and leadership with regards to their personal growth and job performance Support JNA initiatives for synergistic systems that will benefit the company in total Perform other tasks as required Supervisory Responsibility Responsible for supervising employees in accordance with policies and procedures Work Environment or Working Conditions Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer May occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection Physical Demands This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
