This new role will empower stores to unlock performance potential at every level—from store operations to individual employees—across departments, categories, and items. The ideal candidate will have a highly analytical mindset and be adept at simplifying large sums of data to provide focused guidance for Operational Managers and Senior Leadership.The Retail Analyst must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal direction. The candidate should have demonstrated prior work experience / education in areas such as: Retail Analyst, Retail Operations, Merchandising, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, Scheduling & Forecasting, Replenishment Methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to leverage strategic, analytical and people skills to impact the business by effectively identifying trends, opportunities, and risks across all store operationsAggregate and analyze data in order to provide key, simplified insightsEvaluate business and operational challenges, lead data-driven assessments to explore solutions, and deliver strategic recommendations that address root causes.Support forecasting and budgeting processes with metrics-informed models and scenario analysisMonitor key performance indicators and proactively identify opportunities to improveBuild and maintain reports that enable our supply chain and store operations partners to effectively manage performance, along with ensuring data integrity across all reporting platformsLead discussions with business and operations partners to ensure utilization of analytical methods and systemsPerform other ad-hoc analyses to provide cross-functional insights that facilitate business decision-makingIdentify trends to maximize efficiencies, such as- production level targets, sales yields, labor efficiencies, and other retail metricsDemonstrate creative thinking and intuitive problem-solving as new projects arisePerform additional tasks as assigned by Senior LeadershipQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field and 2 years\' experience in retail analytics, merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, or related field OR 4 years\' experience in retail analytics, merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, or related field5+ years of experience in an analytical and strategic role, including consulting, corporate strategy, technology; retail or e-commerce experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard developmentStrong skills in Excel and SQL for data manipulation and analysis; Proficiency in MS Office suiteExcellent business and communication skills with a proven track record of driving alignment and impact in cross-functional environmentsExpertise in quantitative and analytical problem-solving, with demonstrated ability in developing actionable insights from large datasetsAbility to manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables and competing priorities with excellenceFamiliarity with customer segmentation, statistics/modeling and market analysis is desirableOther Skills & Physical RequirementsProven success in partnering and communicating effectively with Operational Managers and Senior LeadershipStrong verbal and written communication skillsThrives in fast-paced environmentsMaintains strict confidentiality with sensitive informationExcels both independently and in collaborative team settingsDemonstrates high accuracy and attention to detailAdapts quickly and effectively to shifting business prioritiesHas a passion for learning the business and uncovering new insightsBe a role model and demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and othersRed White and Blue Stores also require that all employees perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal lawsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment for extended periods.Frequent communication via video calls, email, and phone.Ability to maintain focus in a home office or remote work environment.Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds (e.g., computer equipment or office materials).Potential for a dedicated office in Cherry Hill NJ in the near futureAbility to travel as required to observe and interact with store operations (Occasional- across the Northeastern/Eastern US, Sporadic- travel Nationally)Must possess valid driver licenseM&M Management is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
