Entech Staffing is seeking a System Layout Designer for a large client in the Warren, MI area You would be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed system and plant layouts for assigned projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and safe system installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain system layouts, including PLM releases, KS, tooling placement, fencing, and cable tray.

  • Ensure layouts incorporate all necessary equipment for system assembly.

  • Actively participate in Open Issues Meetings, presenting the latest layout updates.

  • Conduct on-site and off-site plant visits to verify equipment placement and locations.

  • Communicate layout changes to the team and distribute preliminary layouts for simulation.

  • Incorporate simulation feedback, including tooling/robot placement and reach data, into the layout.

  • Place equipment on the layout and initiate equipment orders through PLM.

  • Release final system layouts to manufacturing through PLM.

  • Adhere to strict CAD, design, build, and safety standards.

  • Verify system placement in supplier and customer plants through field checks.

  • Provide installation drawings to customers.

  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

  • Experience with PLM systems

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in system layout design or related field

  • Knowledge of robotics and automation

  • Experience with simulation tools

  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations

Long term contract paying up to $35/hr based on experience.
