Mustang Creek Estates - Sachse is looking for Certified Medication Technicians for a House Supervisor role in a residential-like Assisted Living/Memory Care setting. This position works the 4-on/2-off rotation of 7 am to 3 pm. The role will also have a one-week-a-month on-call rotation. Starting pay is $17.00/hour.Position Summary
The House Supervisor is responsible for the overall care, cleanliness, and success of the assisted living/memory care home. In addition, the House Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on care and tasks related to their primary position. This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a Certified Medication Aid (CMA) endorsement.
As part of the supervisory responsibilities, the house supervisor will assign the other team members daily tasks and ensure that they are completed. Assignments that the supervisor will ensure are completed include: assisting with resident care, housekeeping, laundry, assisting with meals, activities, and other needs as determined by the Executive Director and/or Administrative Assistant/Wellness Coordinator. The House Supervisor will participate in the on-call rotation and expectations.
The House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that effective communication with residents and families is occurring and for notifying the Executive Director of any changes in conditions. The House Supervisor will also be responsible for the training process for new team members.
Additionally, the House Supervisor will ensure that all of the Mustang Creek Estates Standards including medication delivery, meal service, and house cleanliness. The supervisor will assist the Executive Director in ensuring that the home meets the documentation requirements and operational requirements of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability. As a leader and role model in the community, the House Supervisor is responsible for performing all job requirements in a manner that exemplifies Mustang Creek Estates philosophy of service.
It is expected that the House Supervisor complete the state training requirements and become knowledgeable in Mustang Creek Estates’ philosophy, principles of service, and policies and procedures-this knowledge is the foundation for future decision-making. As the day-to-day manager of Mustang Creek Estates, the House Supervisor is expected to develop and maintain a positive atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Resident Care & Programming
Ensure that all team members are familiar with each resident’s service plan and provide care accordingly
Maintain & monitor the care documentation to ensure completion according to State regulations and MCE Guidelines.
Work with the Activity Director to ensure that a variety of appropriate and individualized activities are available every day and throughout the evening.
Monitor the dining experience daily to ensure meals are prepared according to health standards and served with good food and a pleasant experience.
Monitor the medication reminder process to ensure that the MCE procedure is being followed.
Physically monitor each shift in each MCE home AT LEAST once a month.
Monitor House Notes for entries indicating a change in a resident’s condition and proper/complete documentation
Communicate regularly with families, physicians, and outside resources as necessary
Complete primary duties with leadership and role modeling
Ensure that emergency procedures and training are conducted according to guidelines
Standards
Ensures that items on the care documentation are occurring according to standard.
Assist with dining service
Ensure that dining service occurs on time with quality food and service
Ensure a pleasant experience in the house with appropriate music/TV, assistance is given at mealtime as needed, and timely service with choice
Assist with cleanliness of house as needed.
Ensure that laundry is completed according to standard
Ensure that the following documents are completed monthly; hot shot sheets, red folders, and fire drills.
Ensure that the home is free of clutter and well organized.
Willing to rotate as being “on call”.
Communication
Effectively communicates and or documents information regarding the residents
Attend daily Stand-Up Meetings
Complete a weekly report for the Executive director
Notifies the Executive director about resident care needs and other specific items
Attend all staff meetings
Communicates professionally and positively with families and outside resources
Leadership
Acts in a professional manner, representing the values, philosophy, and character expected by Mustang Creek Estates.
Creates a positive environment with high team member & resident satisfaction.
Thoroughly checks all POC & EMARS daily to ensure that all medications have been given and signed for.
Ensure that daily house checklists are being completed.
May assist with interview process, training, performance reviews, and performance counseling
Provide necessary instruction/coaching to the team members to ensure that standards are occurring and that care is being delivered.
Qualifications
State certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) is required
State-approved medication administration certification- Texas CMA permit
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant
Highly developed observation skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills needed
Ability to read medication labels, etc
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to act in a resident’s best interest and make responsible choices
Ability to act and supervise professionally and courteously. Must be able to direct others respectfully.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Supervisory experience preferred
Must work at least 32 hours each week
Ability to be flexible and prioritize
Ability to follow MCE policies and procedures
Ability to attain Mustang Creek Estates Team Member Characteristics

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
