Position Summary:

To assist the Construction Managerin the completion of homes to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions: Core duties or tasks fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job.

1. Oversee community in Construction Managers absence (i.e. weekly meetings, vacation, illness, homeowner orientations, etc.)

  • Meet with County/City Inspectors if Construction Manager is unavailable
  • Call in inspections in Construction Managers absence
  • Send the request to move schedules to Area Construction Manager
2. Perform routine production activities
  • Change furnace filters and platforms
  • Conduct minor silt fence repairs
  • Repair tub, cabinet and vinyl window as needed
  • Repair minor cracks in drives and walks
  • Install replacements for damaged window sashes and screens
  • Install replacements or repair damaged exterior doors and interior woodwork
  • Install and maintain tub signs
  • Install shut off tags
3. Meet with and sign off on deliveries of materials when needed

4. Water lawns (seasonal)

5. Attend Quality Assurance walk and follow up to ensure Quality Assurance checklist is completed

6. Assist with Homeowner Orientation Sign off

7. Keep all drive barricades in place

8. Unlock and lock homes daily

9. Police community; review and enforce safety regulations

10. Install water meter location cards

11. Oversee building and painting of permit boards

12. Post building permit cards

13. Adjust/clean out water meter boxes so municipality will set meters

14. Aid Builder to ensure job site cleanliness

15. Attend and perform inspections

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:
  • Construction Management degree helpful.
Experience:
  • Residential construction (renovation or maintenance) is helpful.
Computer Skills:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn proprietary software (SMART)
Other Skills:
  • Initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer orientation
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
