Don’t just do a job—be part of an extraordinary life Clarendale of Bellevue Place is recruiting for a hospitality‑focused Director of Plant Operations / Maintenance Director to oversee the care and maintenance of all aspects of the community’s physical plant. Responsibilities include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program, hiring, training, and supervising plant and housekeeping employees, coordinating life‑safety and security programs, procuring supplies, materials, and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation while operating within budgetary guidelines. Benefits Daily Pay 401(k) and 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Daily Responsibilities May supervise the Plant Operations Department (less than two full‑time/equivalent staff members), including interviewing, hiring (with approval from the Executive Director), training, evaluating, and counseling. Maintain equipment, building, utilities, and grounds with an adequate preventative maintenance program; arrange for maintenance contracts as necessary. Maintain emergency‑power generating equipment, all fire and life‑safety equipment, and fire‑drill and safety inspection reports. Provide residents and staff with a timely and effective response to service requests. Ensure all equipment and systems function properly and safely, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations/ordinances. Advise and consult with the Executive Director on short‑ and long‑range planning to keep the community’s physical plant and grounds in good repair and projecting a good visual image. Participate in planning of the annual departmental budget, maintain all expenditures within budget allowances, review monthly operating statements for accuracy, and explain variances. Maintain a proper level of service repair parts for electrical, plumbing, laundry, lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, hardware, locks, batteries, tools, expendable supplies, emergency telephone, and security equipment, and adjust computerized controls for HVAC and other equipment as necessary.
