Talent Acquisition Manager @ Roth Staffing | Sales, RecruitingAs a contract Sr. Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting projects related to technology, data, strategy, people and processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution and delivery of projects. This role involves managing cross functional teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects align with business goals and expected value delivery.
Would like to see less of...- Candidates with solid PM skills, but not much else. We want more than someone who can manage a project. That is a good skill to have but the finding is that these candidates aren't well rounded enough to be able to provide a different perspective for a project and find the gaps.
- Demonstrated consultative mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to identify solutions, evaluate alternatives and make sound decisions. Experience working with a Big-5 consulting firm would be ideal.
- We are looking for agents of change. Someone who can look at our PMO operation and how we work critically and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Be able to identify technical activities, connect the dots, identify gaps, and drive output to achieve project goals. Someone who can ask poignant questions of developers and engineers.
- Coaching others. While this is a contract role we want to see candidates who can help drive change within the organization and share experiences with others to help the entire team grow.
- This role will drive complex and cross-functional projects across the enterprise.
- Work closely with diverse project teams (matrixed org), maintaining project schedules and all supporting documents to ensure program/project is delivered within scope, schedule, cost, and specifications and to the satisfaction of stakeholders and sponsors.
- Lead and influence project sponsors, stakeholders and the core project team members in the successful completion / implementation of goals and business value delivery.
- Establish, analyze, and maintain scope, project plans, resources, report progress as required, generate risk assessments, escalate issues, facilitate project review presentations and meetings related to the projects/programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Create and maintain an Epic and Features roadmap, aligning with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize Epics and Features based on iterative delivery of business value and impact.
- Track progress and ensure that the roadmap is updated regularly to reflect changes in priorities and scope.
- Create and maintain all necessary project artifacts including but not limited to CBAs, Charters, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Serves as a liaison between Pacific Life Technology, Corporate and other Divisional teams.
- Develop, foster, and manage relationships with project/program sponsor(s) to influence effective decision making across the enterprise.
- Support communications and change management at the organizational level.
- 7-10 years progressive experience in program/project management skills, techniques and methodology (Waterfall & Agile).
- Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, and ability to coach teams on Agile adoption and continuous improvement.
- Experience in breaking Epics into smaller, manageable Features and user stories.
- Strong analytical skills to assess the impact of new features and changes on the overall project timeline and deliverables.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibit poise and exercise diplomacy in communication, ability to influence others toward consensus, conflict management and decision-making, and to direct work for project office colleague(s).
- Must be a self-starter, have demonstrated experience in a lead role, be well organized, able to coordinate multiple work streams, effectively manage their time and be a strong leader who can adapt rapidly to new developments and changing priorities.
- Experience working with and demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire, cross-functional teams, including IT and third-party vendors.
