Construction Superintendent

Description

• Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members to ensure efficient work flow and resource utilisation.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Assist in the preparation of project plans, including work schedules, resource allocation, and material procurement.
• Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
• Monitor project expenses and resource usage to ensure adherence to the project budget.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction activities.
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and implement strategies to optimise resource utilisation.

Profile

• Semi-conductor and/or clean room experience
• PMP certification preferred
• Prior experience in base building
• Estimating and proposal writing experience for base building and either semiconductor or clean room facilities
• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per month to the project site
• Prior experience in the day to day aspects of construction
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is highly preferred
• Capacity to stand, walk, and move around the construction site for extended periods
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance
• Prior experience in ground up, new construction, and renovations
