This role focuses on direct patient care, medication access, and collaboration with clinic staff to optimize specialty medication use and outcomes. You will serve as a clinical resource for patients and providers, helping to ensure a high-touch, culturally responsive pharmacy experience. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced clinic environment, managing competing priorities with professionalism and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDispense & Verify Prescriptions: Accurately fill and verify prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring timely delivery to patients.Insurance Support & Cost Navigation: Assist in reviewing insurance benefits, resolving third-party rejections, and coordinating financial assistance to minimize patients’ out-of-pocket costs.Clinical Support: Provide counseling and education on medication use for specialty medications used in rheumatologic conditions (e.g., RA, PsA, lupus). Monitor for adherence, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications.Care Team Collaboration: Actively collaborate with providers, nurses, and case managers to address prescription issues, support prior authorization efforts, and ensure the selection of appropriate therapeutic options.Dispensing Operations: Support daily dispensing workflow and intake coordination.
