Latitude is seeking a licensed Washington State attorney to provide part-time, ad hoc support to a boutique estate planning law firm in eastside of Seattle. The firm focuses on estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. This is a flexible, remote role, with the opportunity to grow into potentially more, depending on client meetings and workload. The ideal candidate will have strong probate and litigation experience, a working knowledge of trust administration (revocable trusts), and some experience in estate planning. Candidates should be comfortable meeting clients in person on a scheduled basis and working with a virtual assistant. Key Responsibilities Handle probate matters, including litigation, estate administration, and related legal proceedings. Assist with trust administration (revocable trusts) and estate planning work, with training provided as needed. Draft legal documents including wills, trusts, probate filings, motions, and correspondence. Meet clients in person for consultations and planning sessions (approximately 2 days/week) – flexibility to schedule in person meetings as appropriate. Provide strategic guidance on probate and estate-related matters. Support ad hoc legal projects as assigned, with potential for ongoing part-time hours. Qualifications Active Washington State Bar license required. Experience in probate and probate litigation matters highly preferred. Must be able to meet clients in person a couple times a week. Knowledge or willingness to learn estate planning and trust administration. Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a flexible schedule. Professional, proactive, and responsive approach to client needs. Position Details Of The Estate And Probate Attorney Type of role: Engagement role Schedule: Ad Hoc/Part-time; fully remote but must have ability to meet with clients a couple times a week in person as needed Location: Eastside of Seattle Compensation Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position). Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
