Cooper University Health Care is conducting a national search for a senior leader with a proven track record of successfully leading and growing clinical service lines/institutes to serve as their inaugural Senior Vice President, Institutes and Centers. This seasoned executive will serve as the key leader with full operational (P&L) responsibility for major clinical institutes and centers across the health system. In partnership with Coopers Chief Physician Executive, this SVP will drive strategic growth and outstanding performance outcomes in quality, service, and profitability.

Cooper University Health Care is the $2.2 billion leading academic health system in South Jersey and provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, all within one complete health system. Cooper has nearly 11,000 team members, including 1,600 nurses and more than 1,500 providers practicing in more than 75 specialties. Cooper includes South Jerseys only Level I trauma center, a leading cancer center (MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper) and more than 130 outpatient offices across Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, established in 2012, is the only four-year MD-granting medical school in South Jersey and is one of the Top 10 Most Competitive medical schools for admission in US News and World Report.

In summary, the Senior Vice President, Institutes and Centers will be a strong, results-oriented leader who can collaborate across the organization to develop and implement strategic, metric-driven plans focused on improvement financial performance, quality, and operations of the institutes. This leader will also work closely with internal and external partners to achieve service line expansion and additional growth for Cooper Institutes and Centers. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, demonstrate strong strategic and operational skills, and be a natural collaborator, especially in complex, matrixed environments.
