Role: Full-TimeLocation: California - San DiegoSummaryWe're looking for a self-motivated Outside Sales Account Representative to help expand our presence in a growing market.In this field sales role, you'll take ownership of your territory, meeting with clients, presenting tailored solutions, and generating new business opportunities. You'll be supported by a high-performing team and proven systems designed to help you succeed.We're seeking confident communicators who take initiative, follow through, and stay focused on growth.What You'll DoBuild and maintain strong relationships with property managers, restoration contractors, real estate professionals, and insurance contactsAct as the first point of contact for clients needing environmental testing services (asbestos, mold,lead, bacteria)Pinpoint and overcome potential obstacles such as competition, pain points, budgets, and timelines by qualifying your prospective customers quickly and thoroughlyGenerate new business through office visits, trade shows, industry events, and daily face-to-face interactions with potential clients.Move your sales leads and deals through the sales pipeline efficiently while consistently adding new target buyers into the funnelProspect and follow up with potential customers online, by phone, or in person to find upsell opportunities and new clientsCreate, present, and negotiate solutions, then close the saleStay informed about market trends and help clients understand what makes us differentBuild and maintain strong relationships with customersAttend industry events, expos, and company sales meetingsMeet all outside sales duties and hit sales targetsHelp recruit and train new sales repsWork well with your team and share what worksUse confident, persuasive sales techniques to close dealsRequirementsMust have at least 2 years of in-person or field sales experience, including meeting clients face-to-face, conducting site visits, or managing a territory.Must be comfortable with local travel to meet clients on-site as part of day-to-day responsibilities.Team-oriented, organized, and a self-starter with strong attention to detail, service mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlinesConsistent top performer in sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targetsMinimum of 2 years of outside sales experience preferred (B2B, B2C)Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion, and communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; industry or product knowledge is a plusProficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)Experience in lead generation and prospectingSkilled at closing deals and managing customer relationshipsIndustry-specific experience (e.g., tech, healthcare, real estate) preferredAbility to work independently, stay motivated, and handle rejection professionallySolid understanding of the full sales cycle and customer needsValid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.Willingness to develop and maintain strong client relationshipsA growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and development.About UsAt Vert Environmental, we pride ourselves on being the leading third-party industrial hygiene consulting and testing company, specializing in providing comprehensive services for both residential and commercial properties.
