Electrical Engineer, Journeyman | Req#3297ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, Journeyman. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.Salary Range: $70k-75kAs an Electrical Engineer, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components, ensuring compliance with the national electric code. You will also perform circuit testing and assist in the repair of various systems as well as contribute to grounding system installations.Responsibilities:Assists with Installing electrical components including switches, circuit breakers, grounding leads, and other electrical components as required (C.5.4.3).Performs circuit testing for voltage, amperage, continuity, and safety after installation and adjusts as needed (C.5.4.3).Works by all applicable standards, ie the National Electric Code (H.33)Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, switches, outlets, wiring, and lighting systems.Performs general electrical maintenance on a variety of electrical components and systems.Assists with inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components for proper installation and operation.Troubleshoots electrical issues using appropriate testing devices ie volt, amp, and ohm meter.Assists with repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.Assists with installing conduit, wire, and associated parts from the main service panel to sub-panels as required.Assists with bends and installs surface mount electrical conduit.Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, power equipment, and control instruments using hand tools (C.5.4.3).Assists with installs, alters, repairs, and maintains various electrical systems and related equipment for on-site work.Assists with installing and repairing grounding systems within the facility.Performs work under the supervision and guidance of senior-level staff.Requirements:4-7 years experienceActioNet is a CMMI-DEV Level 4, CMMI-SVC Level 4, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, HDI-certified, woman-owned IT Solutions Provider with strong qualifications and expertise in Agile Software Engineering, Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security and IT Managed Services.
