The Dean is responsible for providing the overall vision and leadership for the college, with a clear focus on the liberal arts, innovation, inter- and cross-disciplinary activities, undergraduate, graduate, and general education. In addition, the Dean is expected to work smoothly with shared governance and collaboratively with the other college deans while advocating for the needs of the college. Finally, the Dean is expected to engage with the community and participate in fundraising.The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH) is a vibrant academic community bringing together the strengths of the liberal arts, innovative interdisciplinary programs, and the creative energy of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. The College actively supports the university’s General Education Program and offers a robust number of undergraduate degrees and three graduate programs.
