Defense Litigation Attorney – New York, NY Salary: $150,000 – $225,000 per year (base pay). Hybrid and fully remote work flexibility for qualified candidates. About the Firm Our Wall Street-based litigation firm provides best‑in‑class legal representation to businesses, individuals, insurance carriers, and municipalities involved in complex civil litigation. We are known for meticulous preparation, strategic advocacy, and handling cases from inception through trial and appeal. About the Role We are seeking talented and driven Defense Litigation Attorneys to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will have experience managing cases independently, conducting discovery, drafting dispositive motions, and handling all aspects of litigation through resolution or trial. Responsibilities Manage caseload independently and develop case strategy from inception to trial or settlement. Conduct discovery, review evidence, and prepare discovery requests and responses. Draft dispositive motions, pleadings, legal opinions, and trial exhibits. Advise clients and communicate effectively with attorneys, witnesses, and opposing counsel. Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings. Admission to the New York State Bar (New Jersey admission a plus). 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or complex civil litigation.
