Churn Operator

2nd Shift: 2pm - 10pmJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate the butter churn, assist with packaging, make boxes, and maintain production reportsMaintain quality control procedures including testing and adjusting butterfat, moisture, and salt. Help in the relief of the butter melting and packingAssist in the clean-up of all butter production equipment as well as other cleaning duties, when necessary. This includes cleaning and sanitizing of all plant equipment and maintaining housekeeping in the plant as well as all other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor necessary for a safe, sanitary, and efficient operationMaintain churns in correct specsReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.Other duties may be assigned as requiredEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredProduction or general work experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to follow directions and carry out instructionsAble to effectively work in a team environmentAble to legibly write entries for record keepingAble to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransRequiredPreferredJob IndustriesOther
