Position Summary The Executive Director oversees all daily center operations, drives strategic growth, and serves as the face of the Y in the Linwood community. This leader is accountable for membership growth, financial performance, community partnerships, program innovation, and delivering an exceptional member experience aligned with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s mission and values. The Executive Director builds strong teams, cultivates volunteer leadership, and ensures the center remains a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all. Benefits Competitive pay within a $68,000–$75,000 hiring rangeComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirementFree YMCA household membershipProfessional development and leadership training Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum five years of progressive management experience; YMCA or nonprofit leadership preferred.Proven success leading teams, coaching leaders, and developing staff talent.Demonstrated experience in membership, customer service, program operations, community engagement, and/or fundraising.Strong communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.Ability to analyze data, drive performance metrics, and implement strategic plans.Passion for the YMCA mission, community impact, equity, and inclusive leadership.Must have reliable transportation. Travel around the Greater Kansas City area is required. Essential Functions Lead all center operations, including membership, programs, fiscal management, facilities, philanthropy, and associate development.Recruit, develop, and support a diverse volunteer advisory board that advances community engagement and philanthropic goals.Build strategic partnerships with civic organizations, local businesses, neighborhood leaders, and elected officials.Ensure the delivery of high-quality, member-focused programs that drive engagement, retention, and community impact.Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure resources support strategic priorities. Foster a culture of excellence and innovation that strengthens member experience and supports association goals.Ensure safety, facility quality, compliance, and adherence to all YMCA policies and procedures.Represent the YMCA at community events, meetings, and activities to elevate visibility and strengthen partnerships.Travel across the region and participate in evening, weekend, and occasional after-hours activities to support operational needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
