Responsibilities

  • Prepare and respond to discovery; conduct document review, including eDiscovery
  • Draft motions, briefs and pleadings in both state and federal courts
  • Conduct legal research (Westlaw) and prepare related memoranda
  • Attend and conduct depositions
  • Attend court hearings both in person and remotely
  • Work with staff to organize and manage all case related documents
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of litigation experience is required; commercial or real estate litigation experience is strongly preferred
  • Prior court room experience is required
  • Experience with eDiscovery software (Logikcull, Relativity, DISCO) is preferred
  • Strong legal writing skills
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing
  • Ability to multi-task; adaptability
