Job Summary Surgical Technician at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 10-hour, Day shifts. Pay Range: $33.00 - $50.49 (base pay; additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may also be available). Responsibilities Maintains the operating room sterile field; Passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery; Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection; Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training - Graduate of a program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technicians. National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Experience with proficient scrubbing in one or more: Complex Spine, Total Joints, Open Hearts (chest), and the Eye Service. Preferred Qualifications 2 years - Recent operating room experience.
