We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards. This role requires a strong technical background , excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

+ Design Development: Create detailed designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment plants. Utilize advanced design software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

+ Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints. Analyze data and provide recommendations for optimal design solutions.

+ Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.

+ Project Management: Oversee the implementation of projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.

+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated with changes in regulations and industry standards to maintain compliance.

+ Collaboration: Work closely with civil, environmental, and mechanical engineers, as well as other professionals, to integrate various aspects of project design. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

+ Quality Control: Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Conduct inspections and provide technical support during construction.

+ Client Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns and ensure their needs are met.

+ Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

+ Experience in water/wastewater design engineering.

+ Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other relevant design tools.

+ Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with land development, stormwater management, and infrastructure projects.

+ Knowledge of site plans, drainage, grading, open roads, microstation, pumping stations, water distribution, and sewer systems.

+ Professional Engineer licensure is a plus.

+ Strong project management skills.
