We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Tax team at the Manager or Senior Manager level, where you'll work closely with private equity funds, navigating the complexities of fund structures, tax strategies, and investment planning. In this role, you’ll apply your advanced technical knowledge to develop customized tax solutions, optimize fund strategies, and ensure long-term financial success for our clients. If you’re ready to contribute to a collaborative, people-first environment where your tax expertise can make a real impact, we’d love to hear from youTax Strategy & Compliance:Lead tax advisory, compliance review, and tax return signoff for private equity clients, including multi-state filings and specialized tax considerations for funds and investments.Oversee the preparation and filing of partnership and fund tax returns (e.g., Form 1065, K-1), ensuring compliance with regulations while maximizing tax efficiency for private equity structures.Work closely with clients to develop and implement tax-efficient strategies that align with investment goals, fund structures, and long-term financial objectives .Stay up to date on current tax laws, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, particularly in the private equity space, to deliver strategic and informed tax advice.Client Experience:Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity fund managers, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders, providing consistent value and expertise to ensure client satisfaction and confidence.Provide high-level tax guidance on complex issues such as fund structures, carried interest, and tax planning for investments and distributions.Stay current with tax developments relevant to private equity, ensuring clients receive the most accurate , strategic, and timely advice.Team Leadership:Mentor and develop junior tax staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance on complex tax issuesRespect and celebrate the value of each of the stories, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas of each of our team members, building meaningful relationships with all those you interact withBe growth oriented and work towards building a leveraged model, when appropriateProvide motivation to the team, including developing young leaders via active contribution to training and developmentExhibit forward thinking, innovation, and delivering an exceptional work productWho You AreRequired:Bachelor’s degree requiredCPA or JD required at the senior manager level; preferred at the manager level5 + years of tax experience, with a focus on private equity funds ; P referably within a public accounting firmProven leadership experience with a consistent record of accomplishment, accountability, and history of execution against budget and strategic initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and client-friendly mannerInitiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo, develop strong relationships internally, and be flexible are required and keys to successUnderstanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and familiarity with tax software requiredLocation:Preferred Locations: Cleveland, Akron, OH; Pittsburgh , PA; Chicago, IL; Detroit or St. Clair Shores, MIPrefer a hybrid work environment, but open to remote candidatesWho We AreSure, we like numbers.
