Responsibilities As a Senior Tax Manager, you will oversee and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust and estate returns and projections Lead the implementation of strategic tax planning initiatives and complex tax structures for high-net-worth clients and mid-sized businesses Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying business development and service expansion opportunities Drive technology adoption and make strategic recommendations to streamline client tax and accounting compliance Stay current on tax laws and developments, providing thought leadership to clients and team members Lead research on complex federal and state tax matters Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements (SSARS 21, compilations, reviews) Manage, develop, train and mentor supervisors and staff members Oversee multiple client engagements and ensure quality control across the team Serve as a trusted advisor on various business matters including strategic tax planning and controller support Lead and manage Federal, State and Local tax audits and controversies Participate in firm management decisions and strategic initiatives Qualifications 10+ years recent public accounting tax experience with HNW individuals and mid-sized businesses CPA required; EA also acceptable Experienced in managing teams and developing staff Must be well organized and have the ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously, prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently High attention to accuracy and detail with strong quality control mindset Exceptional analytical, research and critical thinking skills Strong leadership abilities with a client-service orientation Ambitious, with ability to work independently and drive initiatives Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills Proficient with tax and accounting software including QuickBooks Must be tech savvy and have advanced experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel CCH Axcess and Engagement a plus Highly competitive compensation commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus Generous vacation package Comprehensive medical, dental, life and long term disability insurance Business casual dress code Summer condensed week and Fridays off (optional) Firm outings and team building events CPE allowance and professional development support Enriching environment with experienced mentors and leadership opportunities Paperless and progressive work environment Adjustable sit or stand desks Clear pathway for advancement to partner/principal level Office building includes a fitness center with locker rooms, golf simulator and cafeteria Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Accounting/Auditing Industries Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
