For the 2025-2026 academic year, we are seeking lecturers with a graduate degree in Social Work (MSW) and a minimum of two years of postgraduate experience in the field. In addition to new applicants, existing SDSU Imperial Valley Social Work lecturers are required to reapply each year to be considered for appointment.Temporary appointments may be either full- or part-time. Appointments from the part-time pool are often made just before the start of the academic term, so applicants must be available on very short notice. The Fall term begins in mid-August and ends in late December; the Spring term begins in mid-January and ends in mid-May.Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available.Initial appointments are typically for one semester or one academic year and are renewable contingent upon satisfactory evaluations and the continuing availability of work.
