Position Overview:
Shift:
Third Shift
SSTAR is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for our Inpatient Facility.

The ATS-Detox unit specializes in managing acute withdrawal and preparing patients for continued recovery by addressing the physical and emotional challenges associated with substance use.

This program offers medically supervised detoxification and stabilization for individuals dependent on various substances.
Incentives:
Up to $3,000 Sign-On Bonus, based on experience and licensure for Full-Time New Hires, along with Enhanced Differential Shifts: 7p-7a; Full time (36 hours/week)
Compensation:
RN Pay rate: $38 - $52/hour, inclusive of the enhanced differentials listed below.
Weekday Differential:
3p-11p – $2.25
11p-7a – $5.00
Weekend Differential:
3p-11p – $4.25
11p-7a – $7.00
Every other Weekend is required. Compensation is based on experience.
Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the care of a designated group of patients on the Inpatient Unit. Nurses oversee Recovery Specialists assigned to assist in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide and supervise patient care on the Inpatient Units.
- Implement detoxification protocols as directed by the Medical Director.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate patient conditions and progress.
- Monitor patients for clinical signs and symptoms, adhering to prescribed treatment plans.
- Document and report all relevant information regarding patients' conditions and treatment effects.
- Assign duties and supervise Recovery Specialists.
- Communicate with the Nursing Administrator on call regarding emergencies, medical issues, and disciplinary matters requiring administrative action.
- Liaise with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, or psychiatrists as necessary.
- Engage with other staff members to fulfill program objectives and philosophy.
- Attend scheduled meetings, conferences, and in-services to stay updated on nursing practices.
- Contribute to the development of nursing treatment plans.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities as assigned by the nursing director.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Essential Professional Credentials:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Familiarity with detoxification processes in substance abuse is advantageous, but training will be provided.
- Commitment to required CEU programs.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- General knowledge of the cultural backgrounds of patients served.
- Submission of a CORI release form and proof of no disqualifying information is required.
- A strong desire to be part of a treatment team dedicated to providing optimal therapeutic care.
