Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Shifts: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Type: Full-Time Staff

*Responsibilities:*
* Monitor labor, fetal wellbeing, and contractions, assisting patients with breathing techniques.
* Conduct periodic cervical checks to monitor dilation progression.
* Utilize knowledge of hemodynamics and AWHOON fetal nomenclature to identify fetal distress.
* Manage IV infusions (Pitocin, MgSO4, continuous lumbar epidural) and assess patient responses.
* Coordinate with anesthesia for epidural timing and communicate with the delivering physician.
* Provide immediate postnatal care, including newborn cleaning, weighing, and Apgar scoring.

*Requirements:*
* License: Current CA RN License
* Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NRP provider cards; Advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience.
* Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
* National certification in L&D specialty.
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

*Additional Information:*
* Holiday/Weekend Requirements: Rotating holidays; every other weekend.
* On Call Requirements: Required (details to be discussed during interview).
* Unit Details: 22-bed unit, nurse to patient ratio of 1:2, serving women before, during, and after childbirth.
