The CSS department is composed of 3 teams: The Outpatient Case Managers, the Housing Support team (Standard and Intensive), and our Day Treatment Program.Our Community Support Services team here at CHMHA has a fantastic opening for an AOT & Day Treatment Certified Peer Counselor. Our Certified Peer Counselor will serve as an advocate and provide peer support services to individuals in our community. This role will be split between providing services in our Day Treatment Program and working with the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program.Our Day treatment program operates Monday – Friday approximately 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and is open to all clients in all programs of Community House. The Assisted Outpatient Treatment program has two components, one is working to engage individuals who may potentially be eligible for an Assisted Outpatient Order as a way to hopefully prevent the need for a court order to treatment and the other is working with individuals who have been court ordered to Assisted Outpatient Treatment. With both the goal is to get them either re-connected and engaged to their existing services or get them connected and engaged to long term behavioral health services.At Community House, we value a strong work-life balance and aim to provide the best support for our workers. As a CHMHA employee, you will have access to a range of unique benefits, such as company-paid medical/dental/vision/disability insurance, a 403B retirement plan with employer match, continuing education credit, a personal unlimited ORCA card, and an employee assistance program with financial, mental, and legal assistance.SCHEDULEMonday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pmResponsibilitiesAssist in articulating enrolled individual’s personal goals and identifying problems and barriers for recovery when requestedAssist in determining objectives needed to reach recovery goalsUnderstanding and utilizing specific interventions necessary to assist in recovery goalsTeach enrolled individual how to identify and combat issues such as negative self-talk and fearsAssist in setting up and sustaining self-help (mutual support) groupsProvide housing assistance and support to enrolled individual when requestedModel effective coping techniques and self-help strategiesUtilize and teach problem solving techniques with enrolled individual and groupsUtilize personal recovery experience to role model the value of recoveryDevelop and share recovery-oriented material with other CPCs at continuing education assembliesReview daily log and documents after each shift and communicate other staff members of any emergency situationsChart relevant daily interaction with clients for both individual sessions, group sessions, and within the peer support day program and/or support groups which provide support and assess their progressAttend all relevant seminars, meetings, and trainingsOther duties as assignedBase pay range: $30.00/hr - $36.47/hr #J-18808-Ljbffr
