Contribution Processing Associate

Tuesday, October 22, 2024 Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is seeking a Contribution Processing Associate to join our Contributions Processing team. This position will be responsible for editing hours reported on company systems by checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry to ensure participants are credited with the correct hours worked. Please note this position works onsite in our office in Studio City, CA. Qualified candidates only, please submit letter of interest with resume and salary requirements for consideration. Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required Minimum 1 year contribution processing experience or comparable work experience desired Data processing and/or accounting experience highly desirable Basic accounting skills Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key by touch Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook Able to handle fast-paced work, follow through to completion of tasks and meet deadlines Excellent analytical skills Clear, articulate, professional and effective verbal communication skills Strong written communication skills, excellent grammar and spelling required A flexible team player with a positive, cooperative and helpful attitude and willingness to assume additional duties as needed; displays excellent collaboration skills Pleasant interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with others at all levels of the organization Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy is required Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor Self-starter, well organized with strict attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and has effective time management skills Able to learn quickly and follow directions precisely Responsibilities: Edit reported hours, including checking all edit/error codes and verifying data entry Contact employers and payroll companies regarding reported data or regarding reports that were submitted incorrectly and do all necessary follow-ups to resolve issues Prepare Employer Contribution Reports for processing, including: Contacting employers on unclear data and questionable hours and doing all necessary follow-up Calculating and balancing report totals Apply payments and credits to designated work reports Adjusting contribution reports as needed Data entry of Employer Contribution Reports Navigate and perform tasks across multiple applications and data systems Prepare billing and/or credit requests as needed Assist in handling Billing/Credit Advice notices as needed Prepare electronically submitted tapes for editing (all types) Handle special projects and other duties as assigned Submissions will be reviewed; only candidates most closely matching the requirements of the position will be contacted. Please note, this is an onsite position at our offices in Studio City, CA. MPI requires employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with exceptions as required by law. This is a Class 4 Union-affiliated position.
