Windom Area Health is seeking a .9 FTE Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk. Duties include:

Release of information

Preparing/scanning charts

Completing birth records

Performing chart quality reviews

Providing department administrative support

Qualifications: Education in healthcare administrative support and/or related experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

About Windom Area Health: Windom Area Health (WAH) is an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Windom, MN. The hospital serves Windom, Mt. Lake and the surrounding areas. Windom Area Health provides specialty outreach services on a regular basis including cardiology, hematology/oncology, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, pulmonology, urology and occupational/speech/physical therapies. Emergency room, laboratory and imaging services are also available 24 hours a day. Our mission is Dedicated to Health, which directs our decision making and services on a daily basis. We have a management agreement with Sanford Health and are owned by the City of Windom.
