*Responsibilities for MRI/CT Technologist:*
* Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
* Monitor video display of area being scanned and adjust density or contrast to improve picture quality
* Explain procedure to patient, position and immobilize patient on exam table and observe during scan under direction of a physician
* Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
* Review and evaluate computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
* Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment
* Perform an array of computerized tomographic scanner processes
* Operate CT scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis
* Perform and monitor injections of contrast material
* Perform and monitor arthrogram related studies
\*\*Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, paperwork completion and accuracy, routine Xray when necessary, general patient care and prep, research devices to ensure MR/CT scan safety.
*Job Qualifications*
Required:
* Current state licensing
* ARRT certified MRI
* Associate degree
* Current CPR certification
Preferred:
* Experience working in high-stress environments
* Self-motivated and self-directed
* Siemens Syngo MR knowledge
