Responsibilities for MRI/CT Technologist:
Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
Monitor video display of area being scanned and adjust density or contrast to improve picture quality
Explain procedure to patient, position and immobilize patient on exam table and observe during scan under direction of a physician
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
Review and evaluate computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment
Perform an array of computerized tomographic scanner processes
Operate CT scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis
Perform and monitor injections of contrast material
Perform and monitor arthrogram related studies
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, paperwork completion and accuracy, routine Xray when necessary, general patient care and prep, research devices to ensure MR/CT scan safety.
Job Qualifications
Required:
Current state licensing
ARRT certified MRI
Associate degree
Current CPR certification
Preferred:
Experience working in high-stress environments
Self-motivated and self-directed
Siemens Syngo MR knowledge
