Rank upon appointment will be commensurate with experience.
- We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to patient care and academic neonatology.
- The positions in Green Bay will be to cover a level III NICU and high- risk labor and delivery service at Bellin Hospital, in their new state of the art family integrated 15-bed NICU.
- The NICU is staffed 24/7 by Neonatal Nurse practitioners and will integrate transport system from smaller hospitals and a follow up clinic.
- Our division currently has 25 neonatologists practicing in one Level IV NICU in Milwaukee and one Level III NICU located in the city of Neenah in the Fox Valley Region of Northeast Wisconsin.
About the Medical College of Wisconsin
With a history dating back to 1893, the Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to leadership and excellence in education, patient care, research and community engagement. More than 1,400 students are enrolled in MCW's medical school and graduate school programs in Milwaukee, Green Bay and Central Wisconsin. MCW's School of Pharmacy opened in 2017. A major national research center, MCW is the largest research institution in the Milwaukee metro area and second largest in Wisconsin. In the last ten years, faculty received more than $1.5 billion in external support for research, teaching, training and related purposes. This total includes highly competitive research and training awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Annually, MCW faculty direct or collaborate on more than 3,100 research studies, including clinical trials. Additionally, more than 1,600 physicians provide care in virtually every specialty of medicine for more than 4.0 million patients annually.
Children's Wisconsin and Children's Specialty Group
Children's Wisconsin is the state's only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. With more than 1.3 million annual connections with kids and families statewide, Children's provides a wide range of care and support - everything from routine care to lifesaving advances and treatment options, foster care and adoption services, child advocacy, and provides an insurance plan.
Children's and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin - the Children's Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children's Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked byUS News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.
Green Bay area
The City of Green Bay is at the confluence of Fox River and Lake Michigan and has been ranked as top livable city in recent surveys. This is a family friendly community, with great schools, colleges, and cultural events. The region is dotted with numerous lakes and rivers offering excellent outdoor recreation opportunities, as well as easy access to Milwaukee and Chicago.
Outdoor activities, historical landmarks and fun sporting events are all hallmarks of the greater Green Bay area. Situated on the banks of the Bay and Fox River, Green Bay is Wisconsin's oldest settlement, founded in the 17th century. It is a top destination for outdoor recreation and is home to the Green Bay Packers professional football team.
Door County is located on a peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan and is often referred to as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest." It is known for its picturesque coastal towns, specialty shops, fish boils, cherry and apple orchards and scenic beauty.
