*We are currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Shop Foreman in our Lexington, NC office. *

In this key position as a Diesel Mechanic/Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery safely and efficiently for excavation, grading, digging, lifting, and material handling. You will also maintain all aspects of the warehouse, to include organization and inventory of material.

*Responsibilities for a Diesel Mechanic/Shop Foreman include:*
* Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle and equipment components and systems
* Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, heavy equipment, control systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air and hydraulic braking systems, engines, suspensions, drivetrains, steering systems, and heating and air conditioning
* Provide road service to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation
* Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools
* Maintain heavy equipment such as skid steers and excavators
* Maintain stock to support fleet vehicle maintenance
* Organize, maintain, and audit warehouse inventory and materials, reporting to management
* Perform housekeeping duties in the warehouse as needed
* Maintain and repair warehouse support equipment for peak efficiency
* Handle weekly drop-off/pick-up of customer-provided equipment
* Assist work crews by stocking company vehicles with tools and equipment
* Make equipment repairs to support work crews
* Transport materials as needed

*Qualifications for a Diesel Mechanic/Shop Foreman include:*
* High School diploma
* 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic
* Mechanical knowledge required
* Experience in operating/maintaining heavy machinery, vehicles, and trailers
* Valid driver’s license, Class A CDL preferred, or at least willing to get them
* Clean background check and drug screening
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Working knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
* Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
* Must be able to climb a ladder, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
* Must be willing to relocate to within 45 minutes of the Lexington, NC office
