Schedule: Full Time Shift : Days The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Connerton · Specialty hospital for medically complex patients · Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence · Staff consists of all Registered Respiratory Therapist, 65% BSN or above RN’s, Current staff certifications include CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA-BC, and RN-BC · Onsite BSN completion program partnership with South University with staff discounted rate · Simulation Lab and Clinical Transition Pilot Program · Free prep courses for national certifications · Robust atmosphere for Clinicals - partnerships with multiple nursing, pharmacy, therapy and respiratory schools. · Preceptorship and residencies for Respiratory and Nursing · Opportunities to participate and lead in culturally diverse programs (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Employee Activity Committee, Spiritual Ambassadors) · Open-door campus culture promoting direct relationships with leadership and c-suite. · Full time chaplain on staff · Team Member rewards and recognition programs to include: Daisy (RN), Employee of the Quarter, Phil (Respiratory), Service Awards, TWCE as Nice The role you’ll contribute: The Patient Care Technician works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Assists patients with their activities of daily living including but not limited to basic hygiene, skin care, nutritional and dietary needs, elimination needs, physical activity needs and all comfort measures. Always maintains respect and privacy. · Performs the basic general patient care routines and tasks in a safe, competent, therapeutic and cost-effective manner. · Assists in proper care and maintenance in the use of all unit and patient care equipment: i.e. keeps thermometers, blood glucose machines in clean working order per procedure and routines; keeps VS4s and IV pumps plugged into the wall (in the “off” mode), maintains proper storage of various patient equipment such as telemetry units, orthopedic equipment, traction, and CPM machines. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : · High school graduate or GED equivalent. · Current Florida certification as a Nursing Assistant (C N A) or EMT. · BLS certification.
