OverviewFinance Project Manager (FP&A) at Atlassian responsible for driving the successful execution of complex, cross-functional FP&A initiatives, with a focus on Long Range Planning (LRP). This fully remote role collaborates with global teams, operating primarily on PST/CST schedules.ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end project management for key FP&A initiatives, with a primary focus on the Long Range Planning (LRP) process. Support planning, execution, and continuous improvement of LRP direction with FP&A leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals and executive expectations.Own the project governance and delivery framework for LRP and other FP&A programs. Develop detailed roadmaps, project plans, timelines, templates, and deliverables to establish best-in-class governance and transparency.Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including FP&A, Accounting, Business Partners, RevOps, and other stakeholders—to achieve LRP milestones and deliver results. Facilitate collaboration and clarity across all phases of the planning cycle.Drive process improvements to support teams delivering financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and provide implementation support as needed. Identify, communicate and implement enhancements to the LRP process and related FP&A activities in alignment with FP&A business team’s guidance.Own the project communications strategy for LRP and FP&A programs, including contributing to executive-level updates, status reporting, and ongoing governance cadences (e.g., MBRs, QBRs). Ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the planning cycle.Develop meaningful executive updates in partnership with Senior Leadership around impacted metrics, project benefits, and OKRs across the FP&A project portfolio. Synthesize complex information into actionable insights for leadership.Apply systems thinking to assess the interconnectedness of people, processes, and technology within FP&A, especially as it relates to LRP. Address dependencies holistically and identify themes and patterns across projects to uncover opportunities for improvement.Establish structure and momentum from ambiguity, creating clarity and actionable plans for stakeholders and teams. Work closely with project sponsors, leads, cross-functional teams, and other project managers to ensure successful LRP execution.Ensure consistent ongoing clarity around scope, deliverables, resources, risks, and decisions to establish operational excellence across FP&A governance activities.Champion continuous improvement and project delivery excellence in all FP&A-related initiatives, with a focus on supporting and optimizing the LRP process.Minimum Qualifications7-10+ years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, project management, or other finance delivery roles.Deep familiarity with FP&A process areas (budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial modeling) and FP&A delivery across operating model components (process, policy, data, technology, reporting, people).Combination of project management and delivery experience in large-scale FP&A or Finance PMO, with knowledge of design, implementation, methodologies, and change management approaches.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts across resources, timelines, deliverables, and RAID tracking.Proven ability to motivate and manage change while influencing across stakeholder groups, departments, and levels.Strong executive presence, stakeholder management and collaboration skills; ability to drive clarity in fast-changing environments.Excellent written and verbal communication to summarize complex project updates into key themes, risks, and actions.Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver incremental value.Ownership mentality; comfortable with Long Range Planning (LRP) efforts and challenging the status quo.Experience with Project and Portfolio Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.Preferred QualificationsTechnology or Software / SaaS industry experience.Experience with Atlassian suite of solutions and developing best practices.Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional FP&A or finance programs with measurable impact.Understanding of business operations, trends, and best practices in FP&A and Finance Operations.Experience in communications (e.g., executive, stakeholder comms) preferred.Compensation and BenefitsBase pay ranges in the United States by geographic zones: Zone A: $166,500 - $217,375; Zone B: $150,300 - $196,225; Zone C: $138,600 - $180,950.
