Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, superintendent, safety director or HR manager.Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.Candidate will possess knowledge of moisture condition, cut grade, and ability to load trucksCandidate will possess knowledge of cutting and filling gradePrefer knowledge of GPSRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:Must have at least 3-5 years recent experience in construction as a heavy equipment operatorMust be experienced bulldozer and excavator operator.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent customer service skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.Friendly disposition, personable and professional.Must work independently and as a member of team.Recognizes confidential information and maintains it in accordance with standard procedures.High School diploma or equivalent, preferredExcavator experience, a must.Dozer experience, a must.Roller experience, a plusMotor Grader experience, a plusArticulated Truck experience, a plusWorking Conditions:Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.Prolonged periods of sitting on a forklift or other warehouse equipment.Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, breathing protection, and hard hats when needed.Able to work under stressful conditions at times.React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.Must be able to move and lift to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet.Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.#LI-ONSITE #LI-BN1 #INTERSTATEEARTHWORKSThis job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and the employee.
