Director of Finance

We are currently in search of a Director of Finance. This role is involved in all facets of the business and will play an active part in the management team. This position is responsible for managing the fiscal functions of the business to achieve its fiscal goals and objectives in accordance with generally accepted accounting and cost reimbursement principles by planning and developing policies, systems, budgets, processes, recording and reporting the financial dealings of the company.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *

Active and engaged member of the company’s management team.

· Prepare and provide timely and accurate financial reports to management, with an annual review with the companies outside CPA, and periodic presentations to the advisory board.

· Oversee information systems (including ERP) and reporting tools to cascade relevant and key performance indicators through the appropriate levels of the organization.

· Oversee and manage subsidiary accounts, including management of international accounting policies and procedures, and roll-up and consolidated of subsidiaries into consolidated financial statements.

· Prepare financial forecasts and comprehensive budgets as needed.

· Manage cash flow and cash forecasts including but not limited to daily and periodic management of cash, distributions, and debt.

· Oversee capital spending processes and approvals.

· Oversee state, local, federal, banking, insurance, statutory and other required external reporting including but not limited to tax, covenant, ratio, and annual reporting requirements.

· Oversee and manage internal calculations and reporting requirements as required.

· Assess, manage, and minimize financial and legal risk through policies, procedures, insurance, and other legal remedies and options.

· Manage and interface with key external company partners, including but not limited to banking, insurance, legal, assurance, patents, marketing, and government contacts.

· Direct and collaborate on financial planning and strategy. Execute agreed upon strategic projects and initiatives.

· Oversee tax return reporting and preparation, including but not limited to SALT, federal, and owner pass-through calculations.

· Manage and direct the financial, cost, purchasing, including recruitment and selection, training, motivating and employee retention.

· Recommend, develop, implement and/or maintain policies and procedures applicable to these functions to maximize company resources.

· Practice good housekeeping and safety habits, support and follow company policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

*QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS *

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with all facets of the organization.

· Respond to the requests and needs of the CEO and General Manager.

· Thorough understanding of current accounting procedures including a demonstrable knowledge of GAAP.

· Adherence and personal demonstration of company core values.

*EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE*

*Preferred *

· Graduation from an accredited college or university with an MBA (or equivalent), and eight (8) or more years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· CPA or CMA preferred.
