Prefabrication Integration Manager

Role Summary The Prefabrication Integration Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and manage oversight of prefabrication process initiatives, as well as managing prefabrication processes and resources at a project level. This position will also be responsible for creating and maintaining training/planning materials, collecting prefabrication metrics for business cases, coaching project teams, and helping all employees understand and apply Prefabrication principles to their projects in parallel while advancing corporate prefabrication knowledge, processes and tools. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults supervisor on other decisions. Career Path: Senior Prefabrication Integration Manager Key Role Responsibilities - Core PREFABRICATION INTEGRATION MANAGEMENT FAMILY - CORE Responsible for coaching project-level support efforts that include: Collaboration with project teams during pursuit, preconstruction and construction phases to establish parameters for project-specific prefabrication strategies, and develop execution plans for successful delivery of prefabrication Capturing necessary metric tracking for identified prefabrication plans Supporting project teams as subject matter expert for specific client projects Responsible for learning and understanding client specific prefabrication program on projects. This will include working with JE Dunn prefabrication program lead as well as other project prefabrication leads from other companies within program. Collaboration with field, operations, and support positions at the project level. This includes JE Dunn's Lean, Design, Mechanical/Electrical divisions, Virtual Design & construction, scheduling, etc. May support multiple projects at the same time as it relates to prefabrication. Assists in development of prefab lessons learned and best practices. This includes refining a comprehensive catalogue of implementation guides. Assists in development of processes and resources that support a comprehensive internal (e.g. differentiation, labor and profitability) and external (e.g. cost, schedule, safety, quality) metric-driven business case for prefabrication advantages over traditional methods. Provides coaching and development to prefabrication team members to advance knowledge within a specific area of prefabrication Collaborates with prefabrication management and leadership on contribution of project specific prefabrication execution processes that serve as a guide for teams to lead or assist. Partners with off-site self perform leadership to guide and develop JE Dunn's Design for Manufacture & Digital Fabrication capabilities. Participates in a range of talent management activities, which may include responsibilities such as evaluating and managing performance, providing formal and informal feedback, recruiting and staffing, employee learning and development, addressing employee relations risks and issues, etc. Provides feedback and coaching to support individual employee performance, learning and career development. Removes obstacles and solves problems and addresses escalated issues from team members to optimize team performance and productivity. Serves as a change agent by supporting corporate and work program change initiatives. Models and communicates positive approaches to adapting to change. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Communication skills, verbal and written - Advanced Ability to prioritize multiple projects - Advanced Organizational skills - Advanced Ability to conduct effective presentations - Advanced Proficiency in MS Office - Advanced Has a passion for integrating prefabrication and manufacturing processes into commercial construction Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy Knowledge of the means and methods of manufacturing processes Ability to think in a highly structured manner adapting manufacturing processes with construction processes while also having creativity to develop specialized solutions by anticipating potential challenges Knowledge of BIM quality procedures, overall processes and application in the AEC industry Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships Technical market expert with knowledge of industry trends, innovations, etc. Knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally Education Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or related field (Preferred) In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered Experience 8+ years manufacturing and/or engineering experience (Preferred) 0-2 years people management experience (Preferred) Certifications & Professional Affiliations Successful completion of company training and role-specific professional development coursework, within required timeframe (Required) Successful completion of OSHA 10 training, within required timeframe (Preferred) Successful completion and maintenance of First Aid Certification, CPR within required timeframe (Required) Active involvement in relevant industry and community organizations (Required) Serves in a leadership role or on a board for relevant industry and community organizations (Preferred) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design AP (Accredited Professional) (Preferred) Current valid driver's license (Required) Working Environment Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds May require extensive periods of travel Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling Benefits Information The benefits package aligned to this position is Professional Non-Union.
