Your efforts will help protect our national security through the design, integration, and testing of space vehicles and missile warning systems. Key Responsibilities Support the US Government and the Space Sensing PEO organization for the Next‑Gen Polar (NGP) missile warning acquisition program, managing AI&T production activities and participating in regular meetings with USG and contractor teams. Provide technical assessments for Space Vehicle AI&T, identifying discrepancies between actual and planned performance, including cost, schedule, quality, and impact. Partner with program office customers, aerospace subject‑matter experts, contractors, and external organizations to ensure robust communication and technical collaboration. Produce detailed progress reports with a technical evaluation of risk and impact, elevating challenges and summarizing recommendations for key program decisions. Examine requirements that influence program cost and identify alternatives to mitigate risk or enhance capability cost‑effectively. Contribute inputs to acquisition documents such as Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, and Compliance Document Lists. Review proposed changes to Class 1 documents and compliance tailoring, providing feedback and recommendations. Location On‑site, El Segundo, CA Travel Requirements Minimal Working Hours Standard Required Qualifications Technical bachelor’s degree. Eight (8) or more years of directly applicable experience with Space Vehicle system AI&T production activities, requirements, system development, and testing. Self‑starter ability to work as a SME in an unstructured Systems Engineering and Technical Assessment (SETA) contractor consulting environment. Capability to integrate into the customer decision cycle and independently tackle tasks. Design, analyze, and report on spacecraft and payload hardware to provide in‑depth technical assessments, identifying issues and risks. Excellent communication, customer relationship, and technical skills. Experience with program office technical, schedule, and cost activities. Ability to develop solutions for complex technical issues with limited supervision. Active TS/SCI security clearance required. Desired Qualifications Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including remote, on‑site at the customer location, and at the spacecraft contractor facilities when required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Basic Compensation $150,000 to $165,000 (based on selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience). Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation such as sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
