Dental Lab Technician-Ceramist or Dental Assistant

Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Oral Arts in Dubuque, IA for a Full-Time Dental Lab Tech - Ceramist or Dental Assistant.The regular hours for this position are from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution and tuition reimbursementPrimary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:Maintains quality service by enforcing quality standards; analyzing and resolving quality problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.Master of all of composite and ceramic skill sets.Intricate Custom Shading.Choose correct porcelainBuild to correct contour, blend and occlusionFire at correct temperatureAdd on when necessarySteam clean required itemsPlace units back onto dies, back onto modelsReturn items to proper panComplete cases according to work ticket schedule, notify supervisor of late casesScan and initial cases as requiredFollow all safety rules and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.All other duties as assigned.Skills and Abilities Required:Must be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAverage dexterity as determined by analysisAbility to follow directionsMinimum Education and Experience Required:Required: High school diploma or GED equivalentPreferred a minimum of 5 years of experience and is skilled in one or more of the skills associated with a Dental Laboratory Technician.Dental Assistant certificate -preferredChairside assisting - 3-5 years preferredExcellent communicationCustomer Service experience Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:Hot ovens, blasting unit, steam cleanerPhysical Requirements:Must be able to sit for long durations of time.Produce cases as per fixed time schedules and required number of units.
