Sanitation Supervisor-Food Production

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for directing all activities associated with the sanitation operation. Oversees sanitation function to ensure compliance with all Company, industry, quality management programs and food safety systems. Ensuring the plant is always audit ready, and working with other Wise Foods plant facilities to determine Best Practices procedures.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, training and on-going improvement of the sanitation program in support of the plant's Safe Quality Food (BRC) certificationDevelops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performanceEnsure all equipment is maintained and operated according to established sanitary and housekeeping standards, to highest efficiency necessaryCooperate with engineering and production departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilitiesCoordinate with plant Manager and QA Manager to assure proper follow up on all customer and regulatory issues (complaints, audits, and requests for information) Lead, teach and motivate all plant employees in pursuit of sanitation excellence and plant safetyParticipates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments Schedule adequate staffing to ensure sanitation operations are complete on a timely basisWork closely to ensure SOP requirements are maintainedHelp to ensure all employees follow company and OSHA safety guidelinesCommunicate with other departments and management on sanitation concerns and actively make recommendation for changes in equipment, plant layout, or work practices to improve sanitation standards Plan cleaning schedule and proper allocation of resourcesUse initiative to find and correct non-complaint sanitation issuesMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Education/Experience/Specific-job-related skills:B.S. in Food Technology, Engineering, Microbiology, or other related field is preferredFour years' experience in operations or plant sanitation activities with a minimum of two years in a supervisory roleMust have a sense of urgency and drive for continuous improvement, problem solving, and root cause analysisAble to develop work instructions and documentationTraining skills is a must haveGood verbal and written communication skillsExcellent trouble shooting skills and mechanical aptitudeExperience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power-point)Spanish as a second language would be an asset.Our company offers a competitive package including vacation, paid holidays, 401(k), health, dental and vision insurance and voluntary STD, LTD, and life insurance benefits.About Wise:Wise Foods Inc. is a leading producer of salty snacks with a long heritage.
