Overview: Day shift 7am – 3pm Monday - Friday
Compensation: $39/hr.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and prepare psychological studies utilizing a variety of standardized individual and group psychological diagnostic and predictive test instruments for the purpose of making eligibility recommendations.
- Provide consultation to staff on the provision of interventions, data collection from interventions for students referred for consultation, intervention and evaluation.
- Manage the special education process at assigned building, performing testing for suspected disabilities as well as re-evaluations.
- Support Positive Behavior Intervention Support
- Provide counseling to students in crisis.
- Understand and comply with all TES Protocols and Procedures in relation to job expectations.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in educational psychology or equivalent
- Must have Ohio Psychology Certification/license
- Experience in cognitive, achievement, and behavioral assessments
- One year experience preferred
- Compassion for the needs of children, including those with disturbed behavior and a history of trauma or other challenges
- Organizational skills suitable for keeping records, which may be used as legal documents or for other official purposes
- Skill at communicating with colleagues, district employees, families and children of all ages
- The ability to travel, sometimes on short notice, to various campuses throughout the district, and to respond to emergencies outside of normal school hours
- Ability to maintain accurate student records.
- Ability to, plan strategies, and activities to meet identified needs of students.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with teachers and students to demonstrate ways of supporting students in the regular classroom.
- Pass a criminal and abuse background check.
- Proof of a valid driver’s license.
