As a community health center we serve as an important safety-net healthcare delivery role for the most vulnerable patients, reducing health gaps caused by differences in race and ethnicity, location, social status, income, and other factors that can affect health.

Position Description

As the Director of OB/GYN, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical, operational, and administrative functions of our OB/GYN department. You will lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional care while ensuring the department operates smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader with expertise in OB/GYN to make a lasting impact on our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the OB/GYN department, including supervision of clinical staff, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide clinical leadership, including overseeing patient care, diagnosis, treatment plans, and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and mentoring of OB/GYN staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with medical advancements, ensuring the department incorporates the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
  • Active medical license to practice in Virginia.
  • Active DEA Certification.
  • Minimum of FIVE years of experience in OB/GYN, with at least FIVE years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in OB/GYN care.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
  • Spanish-speaking preference.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $200,000.00 per year
