This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career by working on a wide range of bridge and transportation structure projects with the guidance and mentorship of experienced engineers. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team developing bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for MDOT, VDOT and/or municipal localities.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and plan sets.Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications.Conduct fieldwork including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as needed.Apply structural engineering principles and software tools to solve complex design challenges.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA to deliver high-quality projects.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; master's degree preferred0-4 years of relevant experienceAbility to work independently and in a design group settingEIT/FE certification preferredRequired SubmissionsResumeA copy of current or most recent school transcriptWRA benefits and full-time employee package information is provided with applicationCompensationThe expected annual compensation range for this position is $72,000.00 - $97,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including knowledge, training, skills, location, and experience.Work AuthorizationApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
