Join to apply for the Sr. Director, Corporate Strategy role at S&P Global About the Role Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The role, titled Sr. Director, S&P Global Corporate Strategy, resides within the Enterprise Strategy & Planning Team reporting to the VP Enterprise Corporate Development. The focus is on a business of approximately $14 billion in revenue and over 40,000 employees worldwide. Responsibilities include establishing strategic growth priorities, tracking key metrics, and overseeing the execution of multiple initiatives across departmental boundaries and geographies. The Impact As a critical member of the Strategy team, you will drive near‑ and long‑term strategic objectives, manage complex projects, and influence senior leaders across the organization. You will build consensus and ownership of strategy across functions and geographies. What’s in it for you You will partner closely with teams across S&P Global to identify and assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities, support corporate strategy development, M&A prospecting, due diligence, and transaction execution. Exposure to senior executives and cross‑divisional collaboration is emphasized. Responsibilities Oversee a broad range of strategic priorities to ensure deliverables complete on time, moving initiatives from concepts to actionable business concepts. Oversee or lead project‑specific cross‑function teams, serving as a role model, educator, coach, and mentor throughout the organization. Collaborate with Divisional Strategy leads and the overall SPGI Enterprise Strategy team on strategy development, execution, corporate development, and strategic partnerships, including market entry strategies, executive presentations, and financial analysis. Leverage scenario planning, case studies, and modeling capabilities to strengthen the strategy. Analyze businesses and opportunities to assist the company in executing strategic decisions. Develop and maintain financial analysis models to assist in investment evaluation, business case development, project prioritization, and investment approval processes. Articulate the S&P Global strategy in a clear and compelling narrative to key stakeholders, tailoring messages to executive audiences. Participate in the communication of SPG strategy and updates to the board of directors and the investor community. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Identify changes in market conditions, industry trends, regulatory environment, and macro‑economic factors that may require adjustments to strategic plans. Proactively engage with stakeholders to source, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities. Compensation / Benefits Information (U.S. candidates only) Base salary range: $174 420 – $305 205. Base compensation is location‑based and reflects experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. An annual incentive plan is included; no additional incentive bonus or sales commission plan applies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or MBA (strongly preferred). 10+ years of relevant experience including financial analysis, M&A modeling and execution, strategy, and/or senior executive exposure and support. Demonstrated ability to drive projects with significant strategic impact. Superior strategic and analytical skills; ability to draw insights and develop clear recommendations. Highly motivated with initiative and ability to influence senior leaders. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities, including executive‑level PowerPoint skills. Solid business acumen with knowledge of the financial data industry and markets. Preference given to candidates with previous experience interfacing with a publicly listed company with global operations. Preference to candidates with knowledge of AI application to financial services, emerging technologies, and experience developing technology strategies.
