Child Outpatient
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Performs a variety of duties to provide administrative support and coordination of assigned area/program.
Intake and referral coordinator duties:
•Answers calls within a reasonable period of time
•Manage incoming referral
•Managing wait list and offering Intakes to families
- Coordinate intake and scheduling patients for child outpatient.
- Coordinate standardized data collections for patients.
- Tracking and processing payments for the programs
- Sending and tracking program contracts and forms
Administrative Duties
•Checking in patients for their appointment
•Provide coverage as needed for other Child administrative staff
•Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of departmental activitie
•Implements and monitors projects in collaboration with clinic manager and director
•Performs special projects as directed
•Contributes to effective interpersonal and community relations to promote the quality of patient care and to promote a positive image of McLean Hospital.
•Collaborates, as requested, with other departments of the hospital to meet identified needs.
•Contributes to the productivity and cost effectiveness of the department and hospital.
•Additional projects as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
3-5 years professional experience preferred.
Epic or other EMR experience preferred.
Skills:
-Exceptional Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
-Ability to quickly learn and apply new technology.
-Takes initiative, multi-task, and follow through to completion with attention to detail.
-Must be self-directed and committed to excellence and continuous improvement of processes.
-Ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining flexibility and dedication to task.
-A high degree of comfort working with an outpatient psychiatric population normally acquired through the equivalent of 3 years' experience in a mental health or human services setting.
