Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking a detail oriented, highly organized and communicative, analytical multi-tasker who will join the team in the Banking Operations Specialist role. The Banking Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of banking transactions and back‑office operations. This position supports various operational functions including wire transfers, ACH processing, account reconciliation, and compliance with banking regulations. The Banking Operations Specialist will report directly to the Head of Banking Operations as a member of the Operations team. This is a full‑time position with a starting pay range of $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the onboarding of new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts. Answer service calls and respond to customer questions to ensure the client gets the information they require. Process payments, tickets and online entries and ensure that all information is accurate. Process closed account requests, CD changes, official check requests, account adjustments and other duties required for the role, in accordance with client requests. Research routine customer, branch or bank inquiries and escape issues as necessary. Support fraud detection and prevention efforts. Consider multiple resources, records and multi‑team collaboration when investigating customer inquiries. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new processes. Ensure that work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures. Handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of service. Demonstrate proficient product knowledge and schedule adherence. Consistently meet operational KPIs and quality standards. Project Management – Listen attentively to project requirements and ask clarifying questions for further understanding; communicate progress and roadblocks timely; complete projects on time and budget. Qualifications Education/Experience – Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; 3+ years of experience in banking operations or financial services; strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements; preferred experience with National Automated Clearing House Association, MasterCard, Regulation E and/or National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators. Language Ability – Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; articulate and effectively relay information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and external vendors. Mathematical Ability – Competent in mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, incorporating whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Accurately compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Reasoning Ability – Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills – Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
