Pay: $19.50/hour
SUMMARY
Maintains cleanliness of public areas, employee areas and guest rooms. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives and schedules basic work assignments from Housekeeping Supervisory staff. Receives additional assignments from Front Desk staff and Management.
- Maintains the cleanliness of restrooms, lobby area, meeting room areas, elevators, stairwells, walkways, sauna, fitness center, guest laundry, cafeteria, locker rooms, offices, pool deck, courtyard and contents of these areas.
- Scrubs guest and employee rest room walls, floors, mirrors, fixtures, sinks, vanities, toilets and urinals. Replenishes rest room supplies. Records tasks performed on cleaning log posted in each rest room.
- Sweeps, mops, cleans, waxes and polishes floors.
- Empties and cleans wastebaskets and ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Assists guests as needed by delivering requested items (i.e. towels, amenities, pillows, blankets).
- Performs general cleaning of above listed areas.
- Maintains the Housekeeping Office and linen rooms in neat and orderly condition. Replenishes supplies as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
OUTCOME
Clean hotel facilities positive staff attitudes will strongly influence guest impressions of the total organization. A satisfied guest is a repeat customer.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous property maintenance or janitorial/custodial skills preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers, managers, supervisors, or employees of organization. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English. Bilingual preferred but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk (6-8 hours), and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
The employee constantly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds, and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

INTERACTION
Employees in this position have frequent guest contact. They also interact frequently with the Engineering and Front Desk Departments. Employees must have the ability to communicate and work with these and other internal customers.
SCHEDULING
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
