Responsibilities Research and select materials based on customer’s strength or tooling requirements Create drawings from 3D models in accordance with ASME standards Reverse engineer parts and assemblies using standard machine shop inspection tools and equipment to fill in missing or incorrect data in drawings and loft Assist in vendor selection based on derived project or specification requirements Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes (ISO9001, AS9100D, and NADCAP) Support continuous improvement Write detailed build, assembly, inspection, and production instructions to assist the production team Identify root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for discrepancies and deficiency Utilize the lean manufacturing approach to integrate automation and increase efficiency of manufacturing processes Assist in mentorship of junior engineers and technicians to transfer process knowledge and increase technical proficiencies Support business development efforts and provide technical expertise on bids, proposals and RFQs Prioritize and execute tasking in a timely fashion within a dynamic work environment Other duties as assigned Education / Training Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required Experience 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area Experience with NX and/or SolidWorks and the ability to model complex, lofted aerospace parts is preferred Experience with reading and interpreting government 2D drawings and GD&T Experience in automating tooling to manufacture, repair, and assemble aircraft parts and other products Experience designing and implementing advanced additive manufacturing solutions Experience with LabView, NX and/or MATLAB to process and compile data for test reporting and research and development projects Experience with C++, Python and/or RUST programming languages for system integration and development of control systems Knowledge and experience with tooling design for composite manufacturing preferred Understanding and experience with various additive and reductive manufacturing processes Security Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.) Able to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds at a time Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Short Term & Long Term Disability Training & Development Wellness Resources #J-18808-Ljbffr
