We expect you to take healthy risks as you collaborate with engineering teams across the company to empower them in developing and delivering their products with the highest quality and velocity while ensuring security throughout the lifecycle.As a Sr Staff Engineer on the Engineering Productivity/Platform team, you will be instrumental in elevating the innovation within the team as we champion a world-class engineering culture across the company. You will tremendously impact thousands of engineers and drive initiatives in source code management, build and test tooling, end-to-end CI/CD pipeline workflows while automating everything (well, everything that matters and should be automated).We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate engineer with an extensive engineering development background, experience using a variety of developer tools and technologies, and who is passionate about developer productivity. The way this engineer will deliver impact may vary depending on the situation but they will be expected to deliver complete solutions to existing problems from ideation to production and effectively communicate with stakeholders.Your ImpactSet the example for high levels of accountabilityExecute and deliver impact both individually and through the teamTools Development and Optimization:Implement the infrastructure, tools and frameworks needed to keep our thousands of developers in sync while sharing code, building, testing, releasing, and deploying their applications and services continuouslyDesign, build and maintain tools and frameworks to automate the commit-deploy pipeline (including development, testing, release/deployment and monitoring) of our products and servicesCI/CD Pipeline Development:Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive CI/CD templates for use across various engineering teamsSimplify and increase visibility into the CI pipelines and enable easier and faster insights into potential problemsAI-first approach:A working knowledge of foundational AI/ML concepts and experience leveraging relevant AI tools, libraries, or APIs to enhance engineering workflowsA proven ability or keen interest in applying Generative AI and other intelligent technologies to optimize developer processesAn ability to understand and utilize relevant engineering data to identify opportunities for AI/ML integration that drives measurable improvements in developer efficiency and output qualityPerformance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:Monitor the performance and health of the engineering productivity toolsTroubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on developer productivityContinuous Improvement :Identify opportunities for automating repetitive tasks, improving workflows, and enhancing overall developer productivityStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to implement innovative solutionsQualificationsYour ExperienceAs a key member of this team, you will be responsible for driving the technical design and implementation of core features, ensuring high code quality and reliability in our systems.Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Go (Nice to have)Experience with web frameworks such as Django, NodeJS, ReactKnowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, Relational DB (Postgres), and system designUnderstanding of Unix/Linux, SSH, and networking fundamentals6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or related fieldsExperience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS and Azure)Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issuesExperience debugging CI build pipelines for any issuesKnowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and config mgmt tools like Terraform and ansibleFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana)Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teamsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent military experienceGood to haveHands-on experience with GitLab/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Artifactory in complex environmentsPrevious experience in a cybersecurity or high-tech environmentExperience with AI tools and infrastructure for developer productivityThe TeamOur engineering team is at the core of our products – connected directly to the mission of preventing cyberattacks. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between:: $155,000 - $190,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
