Reporting to the Quarry Foreman, the Quarry Maintenance Supervisor is a supervisory position whose primary responsibility is to create a safe and effective maintenance team and ensure all equipment is well maintained through support, enforcement and implementation of all rules or procedures.

Basic Accountabilities:
•Enforce plant safety rules and policies.
•Supervise and direct activities of the hourly maintenance crew.
•Assist in developing a Maintenance Operator Rate Program including:

o Training check sheets, essential physical requirements (EPR), visual work instructions.
•Work with Production to schedule and execute daily work order schedules.
•Ability to ensure the safe operation of mobile and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
•Ability to locate sources of problems by troubleshooting; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments, as well as providing cost effective recommendations of repairs and/or replacements.
•Fully support the EAM program to maintain equipment. Maintain an adequate supply of parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
•Supervise contractors and ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective work.
•Ability to provide technical support for equipment selection and replacement.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Able to communicate to all levels of the organization.
•Capable of delivering training one-on-one and in group settings.
•General computer skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications:
•Must meet essential physical requirements related to:

o Regularly sitting, talking, listening, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.

o Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
•Predictable attendance.

o Report to job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
•Ability to perform all essential and support functions of the job.
•Ability to maintain a high-level of housekeeping in all areas of the job.
•Wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

o Hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.

Key Qualifications
•Demonstrates strong knowledge of USG Safety and the Mine Safety & Health Administration and the regulations pursuant to the State of Iowa.
•General Mechanical/Technical understanding, including working on heavy diesel equipment.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
